Quick answer: Bitget’s cheapest POL network (Polygon) needs 300 confirmations — among the highest counts of any network this site tracks; the pricier ERC20 needs about 3× fewer.
POL’s fee gap between its two networks is already large — see Bitget’s POL fee breakdown. The confirmation gap tells a related but separate story: the cheap option isn’t just cheap, it’s also among the slowest networks this site has on record for any asset.
| Network | Withdrawal fee | Confirmations |
|---|---|---|
| ERC20Fastest | 22.14349 POL | 96 |
| PolygonCheapest | 0.2 POL | 300 |
The trade-off
Polygon is the cheap option — and Bitget waits 300 confirmations before crediting it, far more than most networks covered on this site. ERC20 confirms about 3× faster, at 96 confirmations, but at a much higher fee — the same ERC20 route flagged in the fee breakdown as costing many times more than Polygon’s own network.
Confirmation count reflects how the underlying chain is built, not Bitget’s choice — some chains are simply engineered to require far more blocks before a transaction is considered final. That’s the mechanism behind this gap, not an arbitrary Bitget policy.
When this actually matters
Not in a hurry — Polygon is the clear pick, cheap and the wait doesn’t cost you anything but time. Racing a deadline — ERC20 gets there several times faster, for a fee that’s still smaller than what you’d pay on many other assets’ priciest network.
