SHIB withdrawal fees look unusual next to every other coin on this site simply because of how the token works: with a supply in the quadrillions, even a tiny fraction of a cent in real cost translates into a fee measured in hundreds of thousands of tokens. That’s normal for SHIB — it isn’t a sign anything is broken.

Same pattern as ETH, bigger numbers

BEP20 is cheaper here for the same reason it’s usually cheaper for other tokens that live on both chains: BNB Smart Chain’s gas economics are simply lower than Ethereum’s. Withdrawing over ERC20 currently costs about 5.3× as many tokens as the BEP20 route — the token count is unusually large, but the ratio itself isn’t out of line with what shows up elsewhere on this site.

What actually matters here

The fee is denominated in SHIB either way, so its real-world cost still moves with SHIB’s price — a network fee that looks enormous in token count can still be a small dollar amount, and vice versa. What doesn’t change is the relative comparison: BEP20 is the cheaper network for this asset on Bitget right now, in tokens either way you measure it.

As always, confirm your destination actually accepts SHIB on whichever network you choose before withdrawing — a wrapped-token mismatch here is one of the easier ways to send funds somewhere unusable.
