Quick answer: Bitget’s cheapest BTC network (BEP20) needs 60 confirmations; the fastest (BTC) needs just 3 — about 20× fewer.

Most assets on this site follow the same pattern: the cheap network makes you wait, the fast one costs more. BTC on Bitget follows it too — but here the “fast” option is the native Bitcoin network itself, not a wrapped bridge token, which flips the usual intuition about which option should feel like the “real” one.

The trade-off

BEP20 is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin, but it’s a BEP20-wrapped version of BTC, and Bitget waits 60 confirmations before crediting it. The native BTC network confirms about 20× faster, at just 3 confirmations — real Bitcoin block confirmations, which is also why it costs more: you’re paying actual Bitcoin miner-fee economics, not a BSC-style flat cost.

This is the same trade-off covered in Bitget’s BTC fee breakdown, just measured by wait time instead of price — and on BTC specifically, cheaper and slower happen to be the same choice, and pricier and faster are the same choice too.

When this actually matters

If your destination wallet doesn’t recognize BEP20-wrapped BTC, this isn’t really a choice — you need native BTC regardless of the wait. If it does, and you’re not in a hurry, the wrapped route is real money saved for a longer wait.
