USDT vs USDC: Which Costs Less to Withdraw? (Bitget)
USDT and USDC are both dollar-pegged stablecoins, both available on most of the same networks — but they don’t cost the same to withdraw. This guide compares the fee for each, network by network, on the networks Bitget offers for both.
| Network | USDT | USDC |
|---|---|---|
| Aptos | 0.03 USDT | 0 USDC |
| Morph | 0.1 USDT | 0.1 USDC |
| AVAXC-Chain | 0.11 USDT | 1 USDC |
| BEP20 | 0.15 USDT | 0 USDC |
| ArbitrumOne | 0.15 USDT | 0.15 USDC |
| Optimism | 0.15 USDT | 0.1 USDC |
| Polygon | 0.2 USDT | 0.64 USDC |
| ERC20 | 0.8 USDT | 0.8 USDC |
| SOL | 1 USDT | 1 USDC |
The pattern
Across the 9 networks Bitget offers for both coins, USDC comes out cheaper on 3 of them and USDT only wins on 2: AVAXC-Chain and Polygon. That’s not a rule that will always hold — fees are set per network, not per stablecoin brand — but right now, if you’re only choosing between the two tokens and don’t care which one you hold, USDC is the better default on this exchange.
Why two “identical” tokens have different fees
USDT and USDC aren’t actually identical under the hood — they’re separate token contracts, sometimes with different gas costs to move, and Bitget (or the network itself) prices withdrawals independently for each. A cheaper USDC fee on a given chain doesn’t mean anything is wrong with USDT there; it just means the two tokens aren’t priced in lockstep.
If you’re not already committed to one stablecoin, this is exactly the kind of number worth checking before you decide which one to hold.
